Kampi Hotel Tunjungan - Surabaya

1. They prepared the room beforehand so that when I checked in, the room is cool. Also they put the card on the electricity slot so that even if I go out, I can have the option to leave the AC on. 2. They are very welcoming and communicative. They contacted me both on this platform and on whatsapp to confirm my booking and to check on my special requests. They also provided complimentary welcoming cake slices in my room upon my arrival. 3. The hotel is walkable distance to a lot of local attractions i.e. Tunjungan Plaza, Romansa Tunjungan, Alun-Alun Surabaya. 4. The room is decently sized and it is clean.

The location was excellent as it is a walking distance from Tunjungan Plaza Singapura, which is a very big mall that consists of so many food options to dine in. There is also a nearby park where you can enjoy watching the locals play sports such as basketball.

Had a lovely stay at Hotel Kampi. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, always happy to assist with any queries or requests. The room was big and bright with decent air condition. Housekeeping was every day with fresh bottled water! Breakfast had a good selection and the location is perfect for visiting local sites around Surabaya.

My review may be biased because the hotel went above and beyond to help us, more in a minute about that. The hotel is in a good location, close to a couple of malls (if that is your thing), and a good location to use as a jump off point for tours. They have a nice lobby to wait for your ride in. The hotel seems to handle a lot of tours and as such has a pretty complete menu to choose from. The restaurant is open early to late, has an expresso machine (!!!!) and seems to always be fully staffed. There are lots of plugs around the dinning room if you want to just go down and have a coffee and work. The room was clean, the shower had great water pressure and anything we needed they were very responsive to. Now, on our check out day, there was a big parade that closed down all the streets in the area and our taxi couldn’t make it to the hotel!!! The staff immediately recognized the situation and had two staff use their personal scooters to ferry us (and our luggage!) out of the area and meet the taxi (who they talked to and coordinated our pickup!). They saved us making our flight. Kudos to that staff.
